Carnegie Hall’s National Youth Ensembles
From July 6 to 17, 2020, the National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America (NYO-USA), NYO2, and NYO Jazz convened online for a two-week residency. Hailing from 41 states across the US, more than 200 outstanding teen musicians trained under the direction of NYO-USA Orchestra Director James Ross, NYO2 Resident Conductor Joseph Young, and NYO Jazz Artistic Director Sean Jones. The musicians attended private lessons and sectional classes, explored major musical works within their full ensemble, participated in discussion-led panel conversations, and much more. Hear the future of classical music and jazz as these extraordinary young musicians join forces with today’s most celebrated artists.
